The Tearmoon Empire anime has announced two new cast members and the opening theme for the upcoming series. The official website of the anime adaptation of Nozomu Mochitsuki’s light novel series confirmed the news.
Anime Adaptation of Tearmoon Empire
Yoshitsugu Matsuoka has been cast as Abel Renmo, while Shun Horie will voice Sion Sol Sunkland. They join previously announced cast members Sumire Uesaka as Mia Luna Tearmoon, Tomori Kusunoki as Anne Littstein, and Yuichiro Umehara as Ludwig Hewitt.
In addition to being part of the cast, Sumire Uesaka will also perform the opening theme for the series, titled “Happy End Princess.” The song is written by Masayoshi Oishi, with arrangements by Kentaro Sonoda.
Tearmoon Empire is a light novel series written by Nozomu Mochitsuki, which first started publication in 2019 and is still ongoing. A manga adaptation was announced later in 2019, and the anime adaptation was confirmed this year, with its release scheduled for October.
The story revolves around Princess Mia, the ruler of the declining Tearmoon Empire. After her execution for her supposed failure as a leader, she is reincarnated into her 12-year-old self. Determined to change her own fate and that of her kingdom, Mia sets out on a journey to transform herself and her empire.
