One of these cosplays gives off a powerful and authoritative vibe, while another is captioned “Luffy’s Mom.” This particular cosplay reflects a popular theory within the fandom that Sir Crocodile is not only a transgender man, but also one of the parents of Luffy, along with Monkey D. Dragon. This theory is supported by various hints in the series, such as Sir Crocodile’s actions during the Summit War and his connection to Emporio Ivankov, a character from the Okama Kingdom who has the ability to control hormones with his Devil Fruit powers.
