Unused concept art for Spider-Man: No Way Home has been revealed, showcasing several ideas that could have completely changed the movie. One concept art reveals a comics accurate costume for Doctor Octopus, which would have been a significant change for the character. Another concept shows Ned Leeds, played by Jacob Batalon, using Green Goblin’s glider, hinting at his potential transformation into Hobgoblin. Additionally, concept art reveals three versions of the Symbiote Suit, hinting at a potential storyline involving Venom in future movies.

Spider-Man Movie’s Outcome

The concept art also reveals some alternate ideas for the movie. One scrapped idea was a sequence in which Green Goblin bombs Happy Hogan’s apartment with Aunt May inside, potentially leading to her death. Another concept explores the idea of Green Goblin donning Iron Man’s armor, which would have added an interesting dynamic to the film. Unused concept art also shows Doctor Strange bringing Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men to meet Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. Instead of Ned being the one to open up the portals, this would have changed the structure of the movie.

Additionally, the concept art features a fourth Spider-Man that did not make it into the film – the Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man from the PlayStation game. While fans might have been excited to see the video game version of Spider-Man, it’s likely that the concept art was used as a reference rather than implying his appearance in the movie.

Other unused concept art shows Peter Parker meeting J. Jonah Jameson, played by J.K. Simmons, in person. In the film, they don’t have a proper meeting, but the concept art shows Peter visiting Jameson’s home. Another concept showcases a more comic book-accurate look for Green Goblin, drawing inspiration from Thor: The Dark World’s Dark Elves. Finally, concept art reveals a different appearance for Doctor Octopus, with a beard and longer hair, which was initially considered but ultimately abandoned in favor of a faithful recreation of the character’s previous look.

While these unused concepts offer intriguing possibilities, the final version of Spider-Man: No Way Home proved to be a hit with audiences. The movie effectively utilized the multiverse concept by bringing together multiple versions of Spider-Man, delivering emotional moments and thrilling action sequences. As fans eagerly await future Spider-Man movies, it will be interesting to see if any of these unused concepts make their way into the MCU.
