The Illuminati, a team comprising representatives from Earth-838’s superhero teams, was destroyed by Scarlet Witch in the MCU’s Phase 4. However, there are plans to form a new Illuminati team in the future. Potential new members for the team include Thor, Smart Hulk, Captain Marvel, Namor, Shuri, War Machine, Loki, Mister Fantastic, Scarlet Witch, and Doctor Strange. Doctor Strange, with his knowledge of the multiverse, is expected to play a key role in forming the new team.

Assembling the MCU’s New Illuminati

The Illuminati first appeared in Marvel Comics in 2005 and consisted of superhero leaders who joined forces to combat threats on a larger scale. In the MCU’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the team included Karl Mordo, Captain Carter, Black Bolt, Captain Marvel, Professor X, Mister Fantastic, and Earth-838’s Doctor Strange. However, they were ultimately defeated by Scarlet Witch, with only Mordo surviving.

Thor, who has experience with cosmic and magical lore, and a unique viewpoint of the universe, could be an ideal addition to the new Illuminati. Smart Hulk, who combines the intelligence of Bruce Banner with the strength of the Hulk, could bring valuable expertise similar to Marvel Comics’ Mister Fantastic. Captain Marvel, although not a member in the comics, could follow in the footsteps of her Earth-838 variant and join the Illuminati. Namor, introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, could represent the Talokanil and mutantkind on the team. Shuri, who assumed the mantle of Black Panther, could represent Wakanda and provide technological expertise. War Machine, replacing Tony Stark, could fulfill a similar role as Iron Man in the Illuminati. Loki, with his knowledge of the multiverse and experience with the TVA, could find redemption as a member of the team. Mister Fantastic, portrayed by John Krasinski, is expected to join the team after the introduction of the Fantastic Four in Phase 6. Scarlet Witch, despite her previous actions, could find redemption and contribute her immense power to the Illuminati. Finally, Doctor Strange, who was part of the original Illuminati in the comics, will likely play a pivotal role in forming the new team.

Overall, the new Illuminati team in the MCU’s Phase 6 is expected to include several high-profile heroes who will protect the multiverse from threats. These potential members bring a diverse range of skills and knowledge, making them an invaluable force against the challenges they will face.
