7 Avengers Who May Depart from the Team Permanently Due to a Major MCU Phase 5 Revelation by Nick Fury

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the existence of Nick Fury’s Harvest, a collection of DNA samples from the Avengers without their consent, could have major consequences for the team. If this information were to become public, it could lead to rifts within the Avengers and potentially lead to their downfall.

One Avenger who would strongly object to Fury’s actions is James “Rhodey” Rhodes, also known as War Machine. Rhodey had previously been replaced by a Skrull and missed significant events, which would make him even more opposed to Fury’s actions. This could put him at odds with Fury in future projects.

Another Avenger who would be concerned about the Harvest is Bucky Barnes, also known as The Winter Soldier. Bucky would worry about his own DNA being used, as well as the DNA of his best friend Steve Rogers. Their shared experiences and bond would bring Bucky into conflict with Fury if he were to learn about the Harvest.

Furthermore, several members of the MCU’s Avengers might decide to leave the team if the existence of the Harvest were to come to light. This revelation was explored in the series Secret Invasion, which delved deeper into Nick Fury’s activities outside of his known appearances in the MCU.

The Harvest was a collection of DNA samples obtained after the Battle of Earth in Avengers: Endgame. Skrulls were sent to collect these samples for a mysterious future use, which allowed them to enhance themselves into supremely-powered Super Skrulls. The Harvest included DNA samples from characters such as Steve Rogers, Mantis, Drax the Destroyer, and Thanos.

Among the Avengers who might have strong objections to their DNA being taken without their consent is James “Bucky” Barnes. Bucky’s DNA was included in the Harvest, and as someone who has suffered under HYDRA’s control, he would be particularly worried about his genetic information being used. He would also be concerned about Steve Rogers’ DNA being used, further straining his relationship with Fury.

Sam Wilson, who has taken on the mantle of Captain America, would also be displeased with his or his friend’s DNA being used without their consent. As Captain America, Wilson has taken on a new role and wouldn’t want the association with the creation of villainous Super Skrulls.

Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man, would find it difficult to stand idly by if he learned about Fury’s actions. While his DNA wasn’t included in the Harvest, Parker has close connections to several Avengers whose DNA was collected. He would likely stand up for his friends and would not want to be associated with Fury’s Avengers in future projects.

Bruce Banner, also known as The Hulk, would be particularly wary of his DNA being used. Despite ongoing attempts to acquire his DNA, Banner has been cautious about keeping it out of the wrong hands. The revelation of the Harvest would be shocking to him and could lead to consequences for Fury.

Overall, if the existence of Nick Fury’s Harvest were to become widely known, it would have significant ramifications for the Avengers and could potentially lead to their downfall. Several members of the team would strongly oppose Fury’s actions, and their relationships with him could become strained. The revelation of the Harvest could also lead to new storylines and projects in Phase 5 of the MCU.
