The new Barbie movie, directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken, has been receiving positive reviews and performing well at the box office. While there is no after-credits scene in the film, it was almost included.

Barbie Movie Post-Credits Scene Removal

During an interview with Barbie editor Nick Houy, a corkboard displaying every scene in the movie was shown. On the bottom right of the board, there is a scene labeled “Midge in Labor”. This scene would have featured Midge, played by Emerald Fennell, going into labor. However, what is even more interesting is that if you look closely, you can see Helen Mirren in the scene. This would have been Mirren’s first physical appearance in the film, as she only has a voice role as the film’s narrator.

Mirren’s voice appears a few times throughout the movie, but this deleted post-credits scene would have been a surprise for audiences. Unfortunately, it didn’t make the final cut.

The rest of the cast for the Barbie movie includes America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Scott Evans, Kate McKinnon, Ariana Greenblatt, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, Issa Rae, Michael Cera, Hari Nef, Will Ferrell, Dua Lipa, and more. The film is currently playing in theaters.

Overall, the Barbie movie has been well-received by both critics and audiences. The addition of a deleted post-credits scene featuring Helen Mirren would have been a pleasant surprise, but unfortunately, it didn’t make it into the final version of the film. Nevertheless, the movie continues to entertain and delight audiences with its fantasy comedy storyline and talented cast.
