The nominees for the 2023 Anime Awards have been announced by Crunchyroll. Fans can now vote for their favorite anime in categories such as best original anime, best new series, best continuing series, best opening, best ending, and best film. One of the most anticipated categories is Anime of the Year, with nominees including Attack on Titan, Spy x Family, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Demon Slayer, Lycrois Recoil, and Ranking of Kings.

Leading the pack with seventeen nominations is Spy x Family, followed closely by Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners with twelve nominations each. Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc and Ranking of Kings have also garnered a significant number of nominations. The nominations span a wide range of genres, providing anime fans with plenty of options to explore.

Notable series in the awards include Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero and One Piece Film Red, both of which are nominated for Best Film. Other nominated series include Lycoris Recoil, My Dress-Up Darling, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Stone Ocean, and Call of the Night. The awards include categories for Best Film, Best Score, Best Anime Song, Best Opening and Ending Sequences, as well as genre-specific categories such as Best Action, Comedy, Drama, Fantasy, and Romance.

Fans can also vote for the best voice artist performances in both Japanese and English. Several studios have contenders in this year’s awards, including MAPPA, Toei Animation, Production I.G., Science SARU, WIT STUDIO, TRIGGER, ufotable, and CloverWorks, among others.
