DC Studios Does Not Intend to Produce Gal Gadot’s Sequel

According to recent reports, DC Studios currently has no plans for a third Wonder Woman film starring Gal Gadot. Variety has revealed that James Gunn and Peter Safran, who are involved with DC Studios, have stated that there are no Wonder Woman projects beyond the Paradise Lost prequel series that is being made for Max. This contradicts what Gadot had previously stated in an interview before the SAG-AFTRA strike.

Gadot had mentioned that she was invited to a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran, where they assured her that they would develop Wonder Woman 3 with her. She quoted them as saying, “You’re in the best hands. We’re going to develop Wonder Woman 3 with you. [We] love you as Wonder Woman — you’ve got nothing to worry about.” However, the outlet’s sources have claimed that nothing was ever promised to Gadot regarding Wonder Woman 3, and there was no definite discussion about her version of the character carrying over into the new DC Universe.

Gal Gadot first portrayed Wonder Woman in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and since then, she has appeared in two Wonder Woman solo movies, both versions of the Justice League film, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and most recently, The Flash. However, it seems that there are currently no plans for a third installment in the Wonder Woman franchise.

It is unclear why DC Studios has decided not to move forward with Wonder Woman 3 at this time. Some speculate that it may be due to various factors such as the performance of the previous film, critical reception, or shifts in the studio’s overall strategy. However, nothing has been confirmed by DC Studios or the individuals involved.

Fans of the Wonder Woman franchise and Gal Gadot’s portrayal of the character will have to wait and see if any developments arise in the future. In the meantime, Gadot continues to be involved in other projects and remains an influential figure in the world of superhero films.
