Reality TV star Eva Marcille and her ex-husband, Michael Sterling, have reached a settlement in their divorce. The couple officially divorced on August 3, 2023, and both parties decided not to ask for anything from each other.
Eva’s Difficult Decision to File for Divorce from Michael in March 2023
Eva announced back in March 2023 that she was filing for divorce from Michael, stating that their marriage was irretrievably broken and there was no path forward. She described it as one of the hardest decisions she had ever made but emphasized that their children remained their biggest priority.
The divorce proceedings went smoothly without any reported complications. According to court documents obtained by Radar, Eva and Michael both agreed to waive their rights to alimony or spousal support. They both earn over $30,000 a month, which they believe is sufficient to support their children.
Furthermore, they also agreed that neither would pay child support to the other. They reached a private custody agreement and were allowed to have separate bank and retirement accounts. Eva was able to keep her $1 million home in Georgia and was awarded all of the furniture. They also returned cars that were registered under the other person’s name, and each party paid for their own legal fees.
Although Eva hasn’t been appearing on the Real Housewives of Atlanta recently, she will star in the second season of the Real Housewives Ultimate Girl’s Trip: Ex-Wives Club. It remains to be seen whether her divorce journey will be featured on the show.
