Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck, a popular character from the anime and manga series Bleach, has been brought to life in an accurate and energetic cosplay. The costume, shared on Reddit by user subnelliel, perfectly captures Nelliel’s adult form as the former 3rd Espada, complete with her iconic skull mask, green hair, facial scar, and tattered clothing. The outfit also showcases Nelliel’s large tattoo of the number three, hinting at the dangerous nature of the Arrancar despite her playful and affectionate personality.

Nelliel is introduced during the “Hueco Mundo” arc of Bleach and becomes a close friend of the series’ protagonist, Ichigo Kurosaki. She later reappears in the “Thousand-Year Blood War” arc alongside other Arrancar characters like Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez and Tier Harribel. The animated adaptation of this storyline is currently ongoing, with the second part set to premiere in the summer of 2023.

The “Thousand-Year Blood War” arc focuses on a deadly conflict between the Soul Society and the Wandenreich, a secret Quincy empire. It showcases many beloved characters from the series and introduces new ones, including members of the Zero Division and the leader of the Wandenreich, Yhwach. The adaptation also includes anime-only content, such as the revelation of Captain Shinji Hirako’s forbidden Bankai.

Throughout the storyline, Ichigo experiences personal growth both on and off the battlefield. One notable change is the absence of his hollow mask, which had appeared during his most intense battles in the past. This development symbolizes Ichigo’s evolution as a fighter and his changing relationship with his inner hollow.
