The first trailer for Loki season 2 has been released, revealing that Ke Huy Quan’s character is named “O.B.” Loki is shown to be suffering from “time slipping,” and O.B. explains this condition to Owen Wilson’s character, Mobius.
While not much has been shown about Quan’s character in the trailer, it suggests that his Marvel role combines his previous roles as Data from The Goonies and Waymond Wang from Everything Everywhere All at Once, both of which involved multiverse-traveling.
Loki season 2 will continue the story from the shocking season 1 finale, in which the Time Variance Authority’s headquarters were altered by Sylvie killing Kang the Conqueror, leading to a dive into the multiverse. The trailer shows that things are not going well for Loki, as he keeps slipping through different timelines.
Quan’s role in Loki season 2 is particularly exciting for several reasons. He plays O.B., a tech support character at the TVA’s “Repairs and Advancement” division. This confirms earlier rumors that Quan was playing a character called Ouroboros, who is in charge of technology at the TVA. The name Ouroboros has connections to Norse mythology, potentially linking Quan’s character closer to Loki.
Furthermore, Quan’s presence in Loki is a significant event itself. After starting as a child star, he took a break from acting before making a comeback in Everything Everywhere All at Once, which earned him a Best Supporting Actor Oscar. Now, he brings his vibrant energy to Loki, and the trailer hints at another charismatic performance from the actor.
