Fans of the popular anime series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime have been eagerly awaiting news about the show’s third season. The arc involves Rimuru sending a priest to a meeting in the Holy Empire of Lubelius, where he is murdered. This event escalates tensions between Rimuru and Lubelius, potentially leading to all-out war.
One of the key characters returning in season 3 is Hinata Sakaguchi, a holy knight and otherworlder who has a grudge against Rimuru over the death of Shizu, whom Hinata was apprentice to. Hinata is a powerful figure and has already battled Rimuru in the past. Additionally, season 3 will feature the return of numerous other characters from the series, as well as Rimuru’s interactions with the other Demon Lords as a member of the Demon Lord council.
While no specific release date has been announced for season 3, it is expected to premiere in either April or May 2024. The three-episode OVA, Coleus’ Dream, is set to be released in the fall of 2023. It is currently unknown if the OVAs will be available for Western audiences, but previous OVAs of the series have been made available on Crunchyroll, so it is likely that these will be as well.
