The announcement was made through a teaser trailer released on Fortnite’s official YouTube channel. The short video shows the main characters of the series, Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, and Satoru Gojo, bursting through a brick wall, ready for action. This collaboration marks the latest partnership between Fortnite and prominent anime franchises such as Dragon Ball and My Hero Academia.
Jujutsu Kaisen is a manga series that began serialization in 2018 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump. The story follows high school student Yuji Itadori, who becomes involved with a group of Jujutsu Sorcerers after consuming one of the powerful cursed fingers of Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses. The series has gained immense popularity and has sold over 80 million copies worldwide, solidifying its place as one of the best-selling manga of all time.
Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen have even more reasons to be excited, as the highly anticipated second season of the anime adaptation is currently airing as part of the summer 2023 lineup. The new season focuses on the backstory of Satoru Gojo, the strongest sorcerer and primary instructor at Jujutsu High, who plays a crucial role in the series.
