At number 7 is Young Dio Brando from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Dio is a truly evil character from the start, ruthlessly crushing anyone in his way for his own amusement. He bullies others, forcibly kisses a girl, and even kills a dog before he reaches his teenage years.
Q from Bungou Stray Dogs makes the list at number 6. Q has the ability to control the minds of others and drive them insane with hallucinations. They are so dangerous that even the powerful Port Mafia decides they must be locked away for everyone’s safety.
Number 5 goes to Alluka Zoldyck from Hunter x Hunter. Alluka has the power to grant any wish but at a great cost, often asking for the organs or bones of the person making the wish. Alluka’s disregard for life and willingness to ask people for such gruesome sacrifices make her a terrifying character.
At number 4 is Kid Buu from Dragon Ball Z. Kid Buu represents the purest form of a child’s egocentrism and impulsivity. He is solely focused on his own amusement, which often involves causing death and destruction.
The third spot on the list is taken by Dr. Londes from Cowboy Bebop. Despite being paralyzed, Dr. Londes manipulates others by posing as an elderly man on the internet. He draws people into a suicide cult and takes pleasure in the idea that if he can’t live a normal life, no one else can either.
Hansel and Gretel from Black Lagoon claim the number 2 spot. These twins were forced to kill as children and have become creepy mercenaries. They are unable to connect with others and find pleasure only through murder.
Taking the top spot as the creepiest child in anime is Johan Liebert from Monster. Johan is shrouded in mystery, and it is unclear whether he was born evil or made that way through experimentation. By the age of ten, Johan had already committed several murders and traumatized his twin sister.
These characters embody the terrifying nature of children in the anime world. Their actions and disregard for human life make them stand out as some of the creepiest characters in the genre.
